Using simple instrumentation analogous to devices that ensure precision-machined tolerances, verify adequate tooth reduction during indirect restorative procedures. Never retake another impression or work with reduction copings again due to insufficient reduction.

Learn how to predictably and safely adjust interproximal contacts on all-ceramic restorations and polish the adjusted surface with an emphasis on fragile veneers that come back from the lab with contacts that are “too tight”. After mastering this technique, the ideal cementation technique and proper cement removal will be stressed.

Removal of composite overhangs without opening a contact can be a challenging situation. With the use of subgingival abrasive strips, learn how to correct overhangs of alloy, composite and ceramics with precision, preserving the proximal contacts.

Who Should Attend This Course:

  • Any dentist who practices restorative dentistry.

Course Outcomes & Hands-On Learning Objectives

  • Reach comfort levels in all aspects of occlusal and interproximal treatment. Avoid costly remakes, retreats and hard/soft tissue damage. Learn how to be more efficient in dealing with the above situations.

Live Technique Demonstration:

  • With the use of a Typodont, evaluation of tooth reduction, adjustment and polishing of proximal contacts and the removal of overhangs will be demonstrated.
