This full-day, hands-on course is designed to provide didactic training modules that seamlessly apply to daily patient management and care. Participants will complete comprehensive exercises covering endodontic access, cleaning and shaping, obturation, and endodontic restorations using both acrylic models and extracted teeth.

Course Overview
We will explore the full patient journey for those presenting with endodontic symptoms, focusing on efficient workflows and predictable clinical outcomes from diagnosis to restoration. Emphasis will be placed on accurate diagnosis and clear understanding of endodontic terminology to help set patient expectations and guide treatment planning. Participants will review best practices in instrumentation and techniques that support precise, anatomical, and minimally invasive canal shaping. The course will cover ideal armamentarium and clinical steps including imaging, working length determination, cleaning and shaping, obturation, and restoration. Case selection, common causes of endodontic failure, and the importance of recognizing clinical limitations will also be discussed. Attendees will learn about modern obturation approaches using bioceramic materials that promote a fluid-tight seal and long-term success. The course will conclude with a review of restorative considerations to ensure optimal outcomes
following endodontic treatment.

Dr. Alex Mehler
Dr. Alex Mehler is a nationally recognized leader in endodontic operations, change management, and clinical integration, with nearly a decade of experience supporting large, multi-site dental organizations. He specializes in building scalable clinical models, enhancing provider engagement, and expanding access to high quality endodontic care. Dr. Mehler has helped design and implement endodontic service lines across more than 1,100 dental offices nationwide. He has also recruited, onboarded, and mentored over 100 endodontists while improving retention, clinical consistency, and patient experience. His expertise includes clinical standardization, provider education, workflow optimization, and advanced technology adoption. An advocate for professional development, he leads hands-on training and scalable learning programs for both specialists and general dentists. Dr. Mehler is also an adjunct faculty member at Nova Southeastern University and is committed to serving veterans and underserved communities through pro bono care.
